Ingredients

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 button mushrooms, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • Butter
  • 2 Mukwoodchon Grilled Duck Steaks
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp soy sauce

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the red and yellow bell peppers, remove the seeds, and thinly slice them into strips. Their vibrant colors will make your dish visually appealing.

Step 1

Step 2

Trim the stems of the fresh button mushrooms and cut them into quarters or 2-3 wedges, making them bite-sized. The earthy flavor of the mushrooms will beautifully complement the duck steak.

Step 2

Step 3

Cut the onion into large chunks. When pan-fried alongside the steak, the onion will caramelize and add a delightful sweetness.

Step 3

Step 4

Peel and thinly slice the garlic cloves. As they cook with the steak, they will release their aromatic flavor, enhancing the overall taste of the dish.

Step 4

Step 5

Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add about 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt. The butter will add a rich, savory flavor to the duck steak.

Step 5

Step 6

Once the butter is melted, place the two Mukwoodchon Grilled Duck Steaks in the pan. Add all the prepared vegetables: bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, and sliced garlic. Cook over medium-low heat, turning occasionally, until the duck steak is golden brown and the vegetables are tender. Be careful not to burn the ingredients.

Step 6

Step 7

When the duck steak and vegetables are nearly cooked, place slices of your favorite cheese on top of the steak. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for another minute or two until the cheese is melted and gooey. This adds a creamy texture and enhances the richness.

Step 7

Step 8

In a small bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic, and 2 teaspoons of soy sauce to create a simple yet flavorful dipping sauce. This sauce offers a balanced sweet and tangy profile.

Step 8

Step 9

Serve the beautifully cooked duck steak immediately. Drizzle the prepared sauce over the steak or serve it on the side for dipping. For an even more satisfying meal, consider pairing it with a fresh salad or some crusty bread.
