Super Simple Curry Udon (Baek Jong-won Style)
Make Baek Jong-won’s Curry Udon at Home!
An incredibly easy curry udon recipe that anyone can make successfully.
Ingredients- 1 serving of Udon noodles
- 3 Tbsp Curry powder
- 2 cups (400ml) Milk
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Pour 2 cups (400ml) of milk into a wide frying pan and heat over medium heat. Once the milk begins to simmer, reduce the heat slightly.
Step 2
When the milk comes to a boil, add 3 tablespoons of curry powder. It’s best to add the curry powder while being careful to prevent clumps.
Step 3
Using a whisk or spatula, stir thoroughly to dissolve the curry powder into the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Creating a smooth curry sauce is key.
Step 4
As the sauce starts to thicken, add the udon noodles. You can use fresh or frozen noodles. If the noodles are clumped together, gently separate them as you add them.
Step 5
Add the udon noodles and gently loosen them with chopsticks or tongs, mixing them well with the curry sauce. Simmer for another 1-2 minutes until it reaches your desired consistency. If it’s too thick, add a little more milk. Enjoy!
