Main Ingredients

  • 1 Convenience Store Donkatsu Lunch Box (microwaved and ready-to-eat)
  • 1 Convenience Store Kimchi Stew Kit or Instant Kimchi Stew
  • 1 Fresh Egg
  • 1/6 Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/6 Scallion (chopped)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Wash the onion lightly under running water, then thinly slice it into strips. Sliced onions add sweetness and depth of flavor to the Kimchi Nabe.

Step 1

Step 2

Pour the convenience store Kimchi Stew kit or instant Kimchi Stew and the indicated amount of water into a pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stirring to help the sauce dissolve well will enhance the flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Once the Kimchi Stew starts boiling, add the prepared sliced onions and let it simmer for a moment. When the onions become slightly translucent, take out the donkatsu from the convenience store lunch box, cut it into bite-sized pieces, and arrange them attractively on top of the stew. Try to place the donkatsu so it’s not completely submerged in the broth.

Step 3

Step 4

After placing the donkatsu, crack the fresh egg in the center, and garnish with the chopped scallions. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 1-2 minutes until the egg is cooked to your liking. This will complete your delicious Donkatsu Kimchi Nabe. Gently stir with chopsticks to adjust the cooking level to your preference.
