Main Ingredients

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, lightly pat the pork dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. Don’t worry about drying it completely. Place the prepared pork into the inner pot of your electric rice cooker.

Step 1

Step 2

On top of the pork, evenly arrange the 5 bay leaves, 1 tsp of instant coffee powder, 5 whole garlic cloves, 2 slices of ginger, 1 Tbsp of doenjang, and 1 Tbsp of saeujeot. The doenjang and saeujeot are key for removing any porky smell and adding a rich umami flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, add just enough water to cover the pork and aromatics. Be careful not to add too much water, as this can dilute the flavor. Select the ‘Multi-cook’ or ‘Poultry/Samgyetang’ function on your electric rice cooker and set the timer for 30 minutes. Start the cooking process.
