  • Cooking Time : Within 30 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Main Ingredients
  • 400g Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/2 Carrot
  • 3 Button Mushrooms
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced

Seasoning
  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 0.5 Tbsp Agave Syrup (adjust sweetness as needed)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, place the 400g of ground beef in a bowl. Add 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp oyster sauce, 0.5 Tbsp agave syrup, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix everything together thoroughly, ensuring the marinade coats the beef evenly.

Step 2

Marinate the beef in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. While the beef is marinating, prepare your vegetables. Thinly slice 1/2 onion and 1/2 carrot. Quarter the 3 button mushrooms or cut them into bite-sized pieces. Mince 3 cloves of garlic.

Step 3

Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced onions, and sauté until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, and cook until the onions become translucent.

Step 4

Once the onions and garlic are slightly cooked and aromatic, add the marinated ground beef to the pan. Stir-fry over medium-high heat to quickly sear the beef, locking in its juices for the best flavor.

Step 5

When the beef is partially cooked, add the prepared carrots and button mushrooms. Continue to stir-fry until the vegetables are tender and slightly softened. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or soy sauce if needed.

Step 6

Finally, drizzle in 1 Tbsp of sesame oil for added aroma and flavor. (Optional: For an extra smoky flavor, you can briefly torch the bulgogi with a kitchen torch at the very end. However, it’s delicious even without this step!)

Step 7

Transfer the beautifully cooked beef bulgogi to a serving dish. Enjoy this delicious dish served over warm rice, or add some udon noodles for a hearty meal!
