Super Easy Toast Pizza for Kids
Kid-Friendly Toast Pizza Packed with Mushrooms
Everyone loves pizza! Today, we’re making a super simple toast pizza. It’s a quick and easy recipe perfect for a kids’ snack.
Ingredients- 3 slices of bread
- 7 button mushrooms
- 1/4 onion
- A little bok choy (or bell pepper)
- 1/2 tomato
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 5 string cheese sticks (or sliced cheese)
- 1 slice of cheese
- A pinch of salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables for the pizza. Clean the button mushrooms, then slice 3 of them for topping and finely chop the remaining 4. Finely chop the onion as well. Chop the bok choy leaves. (You can substitute bell pepper if you don’t have bok choy.)
Step 2
Heat a little oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until fragrant and translucent. Then, add the chopped mushrooms and stir-fry until they are tender. Finally, add the chopped bok choy and cook for just a minute until slightly wilted.
Step 3
Pour in the tomato sauce and stir everything together with the sautéed vegetables. Add a pinch of salt to season and cook for another minute. Your delicious pizza sauce is ready!
Step 4
Spread the cooled tomato sauce evenly over each slice of bread. Arrange the sliced mushrooms on top. Add thin slices of tomato for color and extra flavor.
Step 5
Tear the slice of cheese into pieces and scatter them over the toast. Tear the string cheese sticks and sprinkle them evenly on top. (If you have mozzarella cheese, feel free to use it, but string cheese works wonderfully too!)
Step 6
Now, let’s bake! Preheat your air fryer to 190°C (375°F) and cook the toast pizzas for about 7 minutes. (If your air fryer is small, it’s best to cook them one or two at a time.) If you don’t have an air fryer, you can microwave them for 3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
