Strawberry Jelly

Hello everyone! Today, I’ve made a fun and delightful dessert: strawberries nestled perfectly inside a jiggly jelly! It’s incredibly easy and simple to make. Let’s create this refreshing treat together!

Recipe Info

  • Category : Dessert
  • Ingredient Category : Fruits
  • Occasion : Snack
  • Cooking : Others
  • Servings : More than 6 servings
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Ingredients

  • Konjac powder 10g
  • Water 500g
  • Sugar 100g
  • Strawberries 6 pieces

Tools

  • Ice cube tray (6-cavity, 5cm diameter)
  • Wooden skewers 6 pieces

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Begin by washing 6 fresh strawberries thoroughly under running water. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris from their surface.

Step 1

Step 2

After washing, place the strawberries on a kitchen towel to gently pat them dry. Removing excess moisture is key to achieving a clear jelly.

Step 2

Step 3

With the green tops of the strawberries facing upwards, carefully insert a wooden skewer into the stem end of each strawberry. This will help to secure the strawberries within the jelly.

Step 3

Step 4

Insert the skewer deep enough into each strawberry so that it is firmly held in place, preventing it from moving around inside the jelly. Be careful not to push too deep, which could cause the strawberry to break.

Step 4

Step 5

Pour 500g of cold water into a saucepan. This will form the base for your jelly.

Step 5

Step 6

Add 10g of konjac powder and 100g of sugar to the water in the saucepan. The konjac powder provides that lovely jiggly texture, while the sugar adds the perfect touch of sweetness.

Step 6

Step 7

Before turning on the heat, use a whisk or spatula to thoroughly mix the konjac powder and sugar into the water until they are completely dissolved and no lumps remain. Ensuring everything is well combined is crucial for a smooth jelly texture.

Step 7

Step 8

Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and continue to simmer for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. This allows the konjac powder to fully cook and thicken the mixture, while constant stirring prevents sticking.

Step 8

Step 9

Carefully pour the jelly mixture into each cavity of your ice cube tray. Avoid overfilling the cavities.

Step 9

Step 10

Gently place one prepared strawberry into the jelly mixture in each cavity, ensuring it is centered.

Step 10

Step 11

After adding the strawberries, pour more jelly mixture to fill each cavity about halfway. This will help to secure the strawberries in place within the jelly.

Step 11

Step 12

When closing the lid of the ice cube tray, align the skewers with the corresponding holes in the lid. Then, press down firmly to secure the lid and ensure the skewers are locked in place within the jelly.

Step 12

Step 13

Place the filled ice cube tray in the refrigerator and allow it to chill and set for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the jelly is firm and has a good wobble.

Step 13

Step 14

Once set, your delightful strawberry jellies are ready to be enjoyed! You’ve successfully made a beautiful and tasty dessert.

Step 14

Step 15

Look how charming the strawberries look, peeking out from inside the clear jelly! Enjoy this cute and delicious strawberry jelly for a sweet treat time!
