Main Ingredients- Dried Squid and Vegetable Strips 180g
Seasoning Ingredients- 2.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (or Corn Syrup)
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1/2 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds (or Sesame Paste)
- 2.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Oligosaccharide (or Corn Syrup)
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1/2 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds (or Sesame Paste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the main ingredient: dried squid and vegetable strips. Lightly rinse them under running water and then pat them completely dry with paper towels. This step helps prevent splattering during cooking and enhances the flavor.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine 2.5 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, and 1/2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds. Stir well with a spoon to create the seasoning sauce. You can substitute corn syrup for oligosaccharide, and adjust the sweetness to your preference.
Step 3
Place all the prepared dried squid and vegetable strips into a wide pan. Turn the heat to medium-low and use kitchen scissors or regular scissors to cut the strips into bite-sized pieces (about 3-4 cm). This ensures the seasoning coats evenly and makes them easier to eat.
Step 4
Add a generous amount of cooking oil to the pan. Stir the cut strips occasionally to prevent burning and stir-fry until they become slightly crispy and chewy. This process removes excess moisture, resulting in a wonderfully chewy texture and savory taste.
Step 5
Once the vegetable strips are sufficiently stir-fried and cooked, pour the prepared seasoning sauce into the pan. It’s best to maintain medium heat to prevent the sauce from burning.
Step 6
Quickly stir and toss with a spatula or spoon, ensuring the sauce coats all the strips evenly, for about a minute until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes glossy. Turn off the heat, transfer to a plate, and your delicious stir-fried dried squid and vegetable strips are ready! Enjoy with a warm bowl of rice.
