Stir-Fried Chili Leaves: Quick and Delicious Side Dish Recipe
The Best Flavor at Home! Super Simple Chili Leaf Stir-Fry – A Rice-Stealing Side Dish
These chili leaves were trimmed while tending to the vegetable patch on the weekend farm! Chili leaves harvested at this time of year are incredibly tender and delicious. ^^
Main Ingredients- Chili Leaves 200g
Seasoning- Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp
- Salt 1 Tsp
- Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp
- Salt 1 Tsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Remove any tough stems from the chili leaves and wash them thoroughly under running water. Be gentle to avoid bruising the leaves.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the prepared chili leaves and immediately turn off the heat, just long enough for the leaves to turn a vibrant green (about 10-15 seconds). Do not overcook, as they can become mushy.
Step 3
Quickly rinse the blanched chili leaves in cold water to stop the cooking process and retain their crispness. Drain them well and then spread them on a colander to remove any excess moisture.
Step 4
Heat a pan with a little cooking oil. Add the drained chili leaves and a pinch of salt. Stir-fry until the leaves are slightly wilted. Finally, add the soy sauce, give it a quick toss to incorporate the flavor, and then turn off the heat. Adding soy sauce at the end prevents it from burning.
Step 5
Transfer the delicious stir-fried chili leaves to a serving plate. Enjoy them as a side dish or mixed with a bowl of hot rice for a delightful meal. Savor the unique aroma and crisp texture of chili leaves!
