Main Ingredients- 1 block (approx. 300g) Tofu
- 1 paper cup (approx. 150g) Chopped Kimchi
- 1 can (approx. 150g) Canned Tuna, drained
- 1/4 Onion
Seasoning- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- A pinch of Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- A pinch of Toasted Sesame Seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gently blanch the tofu in boiling water. This step helps remove any raw taste and firms it up, making it easier to cut without breaking. Once blanched, let it cool slightly before cutting into bite-sized pieces, about 2cm thick.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped kimchi and thinly sliced onion, and stir-fry until softened. Then, add the drained canned tuna and all the seasoning ingredients (gochugaru, sugar, soy sauce). Gently mix everything together, being careful not to mash the tuna, until it becomes glossy and well-coated. Finish by sprinkling toasted sesame seeds for a nutty aroma.
Step 3
Arrange the warm, blanched tofu attractively on a serving plate. Generously spoon the delicious stir-fried tuna and kimchi mixture over the tofu. Prepare to savor the perfect harmony of warm tofu and the savory, spicy-sweet kimchi and tuna – your delightful dish is ready!
