  • A drizzle of sesame oil
  • A sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the garlic scapes thoroughly under running water. Trim off any tough ends and cut them into bite-sized pieces, about 3-4 cm long. Cutting them too long can make them awkward to eat.

Step 2

Now, let’s make the delicious seasoning. In a bowl, combine 1 Tbsp gochujang, 1 Tbsp gochugaru, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, and 1 Tbsp sugar. Mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved. It’s important to stir thoroughly to ensure the sugar dissolves.

Add the chopped garlic scapes to the prepared seasoning and gently mix them together. Use your hands to lightly toss the scapes, ensuring they are evenly coated with the sauce. Finally, drizzle with a little sesame oil and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for an extra fragrant finish.
