Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s make some real crowd-pleasing, delicious Gochujang Pork Belly Stir-fry!

Step 2

First, cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine the pork belly with gochujang (2 Tbsp), gochugaru (1 tsp), soy sauce (2 tsp), sugar (1 tsp), minced garlic (1 tsp), and a pinch of black pepper. Gently mix everything together with your hands, ensuring the pork is well-coated. Let it marinate for about 10 to 20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat a pan over medium heat and add the marinated pork belly. Cook until the pork is about halfway done, stirring occasionally. This step helps to render some of the fat from the pork belly.

Step 4

Once the pork is about halfway cooked, add all the prepared vegetables: cabbage, carrot, onion, green onion, and chili peppers (if using). Stir everything well to combine with the pork. Continue to cook over medium heat until the vegetables begin to soften. Once the vegetables are added and mixed in, reduce the heat to low. Keep stirring frequently to prevent the bottom from sticking and ensure the vegetables are fully cooked and the flavors meld together.

Step 5

And there you have it! A spicy and delicious Jeyuk Bokkeum is ready. This is a perfect dish to serve with a bowl of hot rice.
