Transform Leftover Mala Hot Pot into Delicious Fried Rice
A simple, spicy fried rice made with leftover Mala Hot Pot! This recipe reinvents your leftover Mala Hot Pot into a flavorful and exciting meal.
Ingredients
- Leftover Mala Hot Pot (desired amount)
- 1 bowl of warm cooked rice
- 1 egg
- A little cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Take out the leftover Mala Hot Pot from the refrigerator and prepare it. If there are any vegetables or meat, it’s good to cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat, add a little cooking oil, and stir-fry the prepared Mala Hot Pot without adding oil. This helps to enhance the unique aroma of the Mala Hot Pot.
Step 3
Once the Mala Hot Pot is sufficiently heated and starts sizzling, push it to one side of the pan. Crack the egg into the empty space and scramble it. Stir until the egg is softly cooked and forms curds.
Step 4
When the scrambled egg is done, mix it with the Mala Hot Pot on the side of the pan and stir-fry them together. Gently toss to combine the ingredients.
Step 5
Now it’s time to add a bowl of warm cooked rice. Break up any clumps of rice with a spatula and stir-fry it together with the Mala Hot Pot and scrambled egg.
Step 6
Stir-fry everything together, ensuring all ingredients are evenly mixed. Continue to cook until the rice grains are well coated with the spicy and numbing Mala Hot Pot sauce. Finally, taste the fried rice. If it feels a bit bland, you can add a little soy sauce or oyster sauce to adjust the seasoning for an even more delicious flavor. Feel free to garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro according to your preference.
