Main Ingredients
- 1 pack sausages (choose your favorite type)
- A handful of lettuce (for added crunch)
- 1 piece of green onion (chopped)
- 2 slices of cheese (for creaminess and flavor)
- 2 bowls of cooked rice
- A sprinkle of seasoned seaweed or kim
Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp Buldak sauce (adjust to spice preference)
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- A pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 Tbsp Buldak sauce (adjust to spice preference)
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- A pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all your ingredients. Slice the sausages into bite-sized pieces, about 1cm thick, and chop the green onion. Wash and pat dry the lettuce, then tear or cut it into suitable sizes. If using seasoned seaweed sheets, cut them into smaller pieces with scissors for easy mixing.
Step 2
Have your seasoning ingredients ready: the buldak sauce and sesame oil. The sliced cheese will be added at the very end.
Step 3
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced sausages and chopped green onion. Stir-fry until the sausages are lightly browned and the green onion becomes fragrant. This step releases the savory oils from the sausage and infuses the dish with flavor. Be careful not to burn the ingredients.
Step 4
Push the cooked sausages and green onions to one side of the pan. Add the 2 bowls of warm cooked rice to the empty space. Drizzle the 2 Tbsp of buldak sauce and 1 Tbsp of sesame oil over the rice. Gently stir and mix the rice with a spatula, breaking up any clumps, until everything is evenly coated. Ensure the rice is well combined with the sauce and oil for maximum flavor.
Step 5
Once the rice is starting to stir-fry, mix it thoroughly with the cooked sausages and green onions. Now, tear or cut the 2 slices of cheese into small pieces and add them to the pan. Stir gently until the cheese melts, creating a creamy texture throughout the fried rice.
Step 6
Finally, add the prepared seaweed flakes or cut seasoned seaweed and mix lightly. Transfer the delicious buldak sausage fried rice to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for a final touch. Enjoy your meal!
Step 7
Serving this spicy fried rice with fresh, crisp lettuce on the side helps to balance the heat, making it more enjoyable. The freshness of the lettuce complements the richness of the fried rice beautifully. For an extra treat, consider adding a fried egg on top!
