Main Ingredients
  • 1 packet Bibim-myeon noodles
  • 2 Bratwurst sausages
  • A portion of well-fermented kimchi
  • 2 Cheongyang peppers (or to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, thinly slice the Bratwurst sausages. In boiling water, add the bibim-myeon noodles and the sliced sausages, and boil according to the package instructions. Boiling them together allows the sausage’s flavor to infuse into the noodles, making them even more delicious.

Step 2

Once cooked, quickly rinse the noodles and sausages under cold water to remove excess starch. Drain them thoroughly in a colander. Ensuring the noodles are well-drained prevents them from becoming mushy and helps the sauce adhere better.

Step 3

Now, arrange the drained noodles in a nice bowl. It’s time to add the toppings! Finely mince the Cheongyang peppers, removing the seeds if you prefer less heat. You can leave the seeds in for an extra spicy kick! Finely chop the fermented kimchi into bite-sized pieces and place them on top. Kimchi adds a delightful crunch and refreshing tang, making the bibim-myeon much more satisfying.

Step 4

Next, drizzle in 1 tablespoon of perilla oil to enhance the flavor. The nutty aroma of perilla oil will elevate the taste of your bibim-myeon.

Step 5

Finally, squeeze the sweet and spicy sauce packet that comes with the bibim-myeon over the noodles. Generously sprinkle seasoned seaweed flakes and sesame seeds on top to complete the dish! Mix everything well with chopsticks and enjoy your flavorful bibim-myeon. Feel free to add a boiled egg or julienned cucumber for extra enjoyment, according to your preference.
