Spicy Carbon Chicken Noodles with Glass Noodles
Creating Carbon Buldak Glass Noodles using the New Carbon Buldak Sauce
I recently purchased the new Carbon Buldak sauce and wondered what I could make with it. I thought it would be delicious with glass noodles, so I decided to create this recipe! It’s a unique fusion dish that combines the spicy kick of Buldak with the creamy richness of carbonara. Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal!
Main Ingredients
- 10 strands of chewy Korean glass noodles (dangmyeon)
- 2 strips of savory bacon
- 8 pieces of soft rice cake for soup (tteokguk tteok)
Sauce & Seasoning
- 3 Tbsp Carbon Buldak Sauce (for a rich and spicy flavor)
- 3 Tbsp Cream Pasta Sauce (for a smooth, creamy texture)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic (enhances aroma and flavor)
- 1 cup water (approx. 200ml, to adjust sauce consistency)
- 3 Tbsp Carbon Buldak Sauce (for a rich and spicy flavor)
- 3 Tbsp Cream Pasta Sauce (for a smooth, creamy texture)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic (enhances aroma and flavor)
- 1 cup water (approx. 200ml, to adjust sauce consistency)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Soak the Korean glass noodles in water for about 4 hours until they are fully rehydrated and pliable. This ensures they cook up chewy yet tender.
Step 2
Finely chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 cm width). The rendered bacon fat adds wonderful flavor, so it’s recommended to include it.
Step 3
Heat a pan over medium heat with a little cooking oil. Add the minced garlic and chopped bacon, then sauté until fragrant and the bacon is slightly crisped, being careful not to burn the garlic. This step builds a flavorful base.
Step 4
Pour 1 cup (approx. 200ml) of water into the pan with the sautéed garlic and bacon. Then, add 3 tablespoons of cream pasta sauce and stir well to combine.
Step 5
Next, add 3 tablespoons of Carbon Buldak sauce to introduce the spicy element. Stir everything together until the sauces are well incorporated.
Step 6
Once the sauce mixture begins to simmer, add the soaked glass noodles and the rice cakes. Stir to ensure everything is evenly coated in the sauce.
Step 7
Continue to cook over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until the rice cakes are tender and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Your delicious Buldak Glass Noodles are ready to be enjoyed while hot!
