Craving a comforting bowl of ramen on a rainy day? Elevate your instant noodles with the refreshing crunch and subtle sweetness of bean sprouts. This recipe makes a deeply savory and slightly spicy broth that’s perfect for a cozy meal. Follow these simple steps for a delicious, homemade ramen experience!
Ingredients- 2 packs of instant ramen
- A small amount of green onion, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon red pepper powder (gochugaru)
- 2 generous handfuls of seasoned bean sprouts (or fresh bean sprouts, washed)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a pot, bring 1,100ml of water (for 2 packs of ramen) and the ramen soup base to a boil over high heat. Boiling the water with the soup base first will deepen the flavor of the broth.
Step 2
Once the water is rapidly boiling, add the two packs of ramen noodles and gently loosen them. When the noodles start to cook, add the two handfuls of washed bean sprouts (or seasoned bean sprouts) and continue to boil together. The bean sprouts will add a refreshing taste and a delightful crisp texture to the broth.
Step 3
When the noodles are almost cooked, crack the two eggs directly into the pot without whisking them beforehand. This will allow the eggs to cook gently into beautiful poached eggs floating on top.
Step 4
Finally, stir in 1 tablespoon of red pepper powder for a kick of spice and top generously with the chopped green onions. Let it simmer for a moment longer, then turn off the heat. Your delicious and invigorating Bean Sprout Ramen is ready!^^
