- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp soup soy sauce (guk-ganjang)
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp omija berry syrup/extract
- 1 Tbsp oligo syrup
- 1.5 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil or perilla oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the fresh seaweed thoroughly in cold water multiple times to clean it. Ensure all impurities and debris are removed.
Step 2
Wash and peel the radish, then thinly julienne it. Add about 2 tablespoons of coarse salt to the julienned radish and gently mix. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to draw out moisture, which will help maintain a crisp texture.
Step 3
To the salted radish, add finely chopped green onion (or scallions) and mix them together. The pungent aroma of the green onion will complement the seaweed nicely.
Step 4
Now, add all the seasoning ingredients to prepare for the delicious seaweed salad. Mix together the gochugaru, toasted sesame seeds, soup soy sauce, sesame oil, omija berry syrup, oligo syrup, and vinegar.
Step 5
After adding the seasoning ingredients, gently mix them with the julienned radish and green onion using your hands until the seasoning is evenly distributed. Mix softly so the flavors meld well into the radish. (Optionally, you can add shredded carrots or use chopped scallions instead of green onion.)
Step 6
Prepare the seaweed, which has been washed clean and thoroughly drained. Cut it into bite-sized pieces (about 5cm long) using scissors or a knife. This seaweed salad is packed with calcium and minerals, making it great for preventing osteoporosis! Don’t be intimidated; try making it easily and deliciously with this recipe.
Step 7
Add the cut seaweed to the seasoned radish mixture. Gently mix it so it doesn’t clump together. It’s important to mix it carefully so the soft texture of the seaweed blends well with the seasoning. This is a golden recipe that anyone can easily follow.
Step 8
Once all ingredients are well combined with the seasoning, arrange it attractively on a plate. Your delicious seasoned seaweed salad is now ready!
