- 1/4 onion
- 1 mini bell pepper each (red, orange, yellow)
Perfect Sauce Combination- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp Ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Cooking wine (Mirin or Cheongju)
- 1 Tbsp Minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp Oligodang (corn syrup or similar)
- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp Ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Cooking wine (Mirin or Cheongju)
- 1 Tbsp Minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp Oligodang (corn syrup or similar)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, unwrap the Vienna sausages. Make 2-3 small slits on each sausage with a knife. This helps the sauce penetrate better and prevents them from bursting while cooking.
Step 2
Place the scored sausages in a bowl and pour hot water over them. Let them soak for at least 5 minutes. This process removes any additives or excess grease, resulting in a cleaner, more delicious taste.
Step 3
Now, let’s prepare the vegetables. Slice the onion thinly and cut the mini bell peppers in half, removing the seeds. Then, chop them into bite-sized pieces (about 2cm long). The vibrant colors will make your dish look incredibly appealing.
Step 4
Time to make the flavorful sauce! In a small bowl, combine 1 Tbsp Gochujang, 2 Tbsp Ketchup, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, and 1 Tbsp Oligodang. Mix well until smooth, ensuring there are no lumps. This blend creates a perfect balance of sweetness, spiciness, and savory notes.
Step 5
Drain the sausages that have been soaking in hot water and rinse them lightly under cold water to remove excess moisture. Heat a dry frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausages directly to the pan without any oil and cook until they are lightly browned and slightly golden. This browning enhances their flavor.
Step 6
Once the sausages are nicely browned, add the prepared sliced onions and colorful bell peppers to the same pan. Stir-fry them just until the vegetables begin to soften slightly, maintaining their crisp-tender texture.
Step 7
Now, pour the prepared spicy and sweet sauce evenly over all the ingredients in the pan. Ensure the sauce coats everything generously.
Step 8
Finally, stir everything together quickly with a spatula or chopsticks to thoroughly mix the sauce with the vegetables and sausages. Once the ingredients are well-coated with the sauce, turn off the heat. Serve immediately while warm for the best taste!
