Ingredients

  • 230g Pork Belly, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 250g Kimchi, chopped into manageable pieces
  • 1/3 Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 Green Onion, sliced diagonally
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes (Gochugaru)
  • 90ml Water (about 1/2 cup)
  • A pinch of Sesame Seeds
  • A drizzle of Sesame Oil

First, prepare the vegetables that will enhance the dish’s flavor. Slice the green onion diagonally for an appealing look, and thinly slice the onion to retain a pleasant texture when stir-fried. Also, chop the kimchi into bite-sized pieces suitable for stir-frying.

Gently pour 90ml (about 1/2 cup) of water into the pan with the stir-fried pork belly. Adding water at this stage is crucial; it prevents the kimchi from burning later and helps all the seasonings to meld together evenly.

Now, add 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes (gochugaru) for a touch of spice, and then add the prepared kimchi to stir-fry together.
