  • 0.3 Tbsp peanut butter (about 1/3 Tbsp)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s prepare all the ingredients needed for this delicious dish. Fresh garlic scapes and chewy fish cakes will make this side dish even better.

Cut the square fish cakes into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the fish cakes for about 1 minute. Then, drain them and rinse under cold water to remove any impurities and enhance their chewy texture. Drain thoroughly.

Wash the garlic scapes and trim them, then cut them into pieces similar in length to the fish cakes. In boiling water with about half a tablespoon of salt, blanch the garlic scapes for only 20-30 seconds. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become too soft. Immediately rinse the blanched garlic scapes in cold water and drain them completely to retain their crispness.

Now, let’s make the delicious seasoning! In a bowl, combine 2 Tbsp gochugaru, 1 Tbsp gochujang, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1.5 Tbsp maesilcheong, 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 0.3 Tbsp peanut butter, and 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds.
