Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Hello everyone! Today, I’m sharing a simple yet incredibly delicious recipe for ‘Jinimchae Muchim’. This dish is perfect as a side for rice, a tasty snack, or even a delightful addition to your partner’s lunch box. Shall we get started on making this wonderful Jinmichae Muchim?

Step 1

Step 2

First, to make the jinmichae more tender and flavorful, briefly soak it in cool water for about 5 minutes. Afterward, drain it thoroughly, squeezing out as much water as possible. This step ensures the squid is soft and chewy, not tough. Cut the jinmichae into bite-sized pieces, about 5-7 cm long. If they are too long, they can be awkward to eat.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, let’s prepare the delicious seasoning. In a bowl, add the 300g of prepared jinmichae. Then, add 1 Tbsp of gochujang, 1 tsp of gochugaru, 2 Tbsp of oligosaccharide, and 1 tsp of soy sauce. For an extra nutty aroma and visual appeal, also have 1 tsp of sesame oil and a sprinkle of sesame seeds ready.

Step 3

Step 4

Add the seasoning ingredients you just prepared to the bowl with the jinmichae, one by one in the order listed. Adding them sequentially (gochujang, gochugaru, oligosaccharide, soy sauce) helps ensure the sauce mixes evenly.

Step 4

Step 5

Now, it’s time to mix everything together with your hands! Gently toss and mix the ingredients until the seasoning is evenly coated on the jinmichae. It’s important to mix gently to avoid breaking the squid apart. Once the seasoning is well incorporated, you’ll have a tender and flavorful Jinmichae Muchim.

Step 5

Step 6

Voila! Your mouth-watering, spicy-sweet Jinmichae Muchim is complete. You can serve it over rice for a quick meal, or enjoy it as a standalone side dish – it’s incredibly tasty either way! This dish keeps well in the refrigerator for several days, making it an excellent staple side dish. Be sure to give it a try!
