Seasoning- Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) 1 Tbsp
- Minced garlic 1 Tbsp
- Sesame seeds, a sprinkle
- Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) 1 Tbsp
- Minced garlic 1 Tbsp
- Sesame seeds, a sprinkle
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Cut the pollack roe into bite-sized pieces, about 2cm long. Using kitchen scissors makes this step easier. Place the cut pollack roe into a container.
Step 2
Wash and finely chop the green onion. You can also mince it if you prefer a finer texture. Add the chopped green onion to the container with the pollack roe.
Step 3
Now it’s time to add the seasoning. Mix in 1 Tbsp of gochugaru, 1 Tbsp of minced garlic, and sprinkle a good amount of sesame seeds for a nutty aroma. If you like it spicier, feel free to add finely chopped Cheongyang chili peppers – they make it extra delicious! A touch of sesame oil can also enhance the flavor further, if desired.
Step 4
Gently mix all the ingredients and seasonings together using a spatula or spoon. It’s important to mix thoroughly but carefully to avoid breaking up the pollack roe. And just like that, your delicious Myeongranjeot Muchim is ready to be enjoyed!
