Spicy and Savory Jjapaguri Delight

My children wanted to try it, so I made it for them… and it was delicious! This recipe combines the spicy kick of Neoguri with the rich, savory flavor of Chapagetti for a truly irresistible dish.

Recipe Info

  • Category : Noodles & Dumplings
  • Ingredient Category : Processed foods
  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Boil / Simmer
  • Servings : 3 servings
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Ingredients

  • 2 packets Chapagetti (black bean noodle ramen)
  • 2 packets Neoguri (spicy seafood noodle ramen)
  • 3 eggs (adjust to your preference)
  • 1.5 liters water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s start by gathering our main stars: two packets of Chapagetti and two packets of Neoguri ramen.

Step 1

Step 2

Carefully open the soup base packets from both the Chapagetti and Neoguri. It’s helpful to separate the liquid sauce packets and the powder soup packets for easier addition later.

Step 2

Step 3

Specifically, set aside the spicy seafood soup powder from Neoguri and the rich black bean paste powder from Chapagetti. We’ll be creating the perfect blend shortly.

Step 3

Step 4

Bring 1.5 liters of water to a rolling boil in a large pot over high heat. Once boiling, add the noodle blocks from both ramen types and the dried vegetable flakes. Stir gently to prevent sticking and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until the noodles are tender.

Step 4

Step 5

Once the noodles are cooked, carefully drain most of the water, leaving about one cup behind for the sauce. Now, it’s time to add the pre-separated soup powders from both Chapagetti and Neoguri, along with the black bean paste. Stir everything together and cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly as if stir-frying, to allow the flavors to meld beautifully. This step really enhances the depth of flavor.

Step 5

Step 6

While the noodles are finishing, fry the eggs to your liking. Sunny-side-up eggs, with their runny yolks, are particularly delightful as they add an extra layer of creaminess when mixed in. Top your perfectly cooked Jjapaguri with the fried egg(s). The combination of textures and flavors makes this dish even more enjoyable. Enjoy your delicious homemade Jjapaguri!
