Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Watching the video will make this process significantly easier! We highly recommend referring to the visual guide for a smoother cooking experience. Hehe.

Step 2

1. Start by adding the Korean radish and onion to the pot. The radish will provide a refreshing depth of flavor, while the onion adds natural sweetness. Pour in 800ml of water and bring it to a boil over high heat.

Step 3

2. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, whisk in all the seasoning ingredients: red pepper flakes, soybean paste, red pepper paste, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir well to combine. Then, carefully add the cleaned snow crabs to the simmering broth.

Step 4

3. Let the crabs simmer in the broth for about 3 minutes to release their delicate ocean flavor. Next, add the diagonally sliced green onions and the trimmed crown daisy. These will add a wonderful fresh aroma and vibrant color. Simmer for a few more minutes.

Step 5

4. Continue to simmer until all the flavors have melded beautifully and the broth is rich and delicious. Your comforting and flavorful Kkotgetang is now ready to be enjoyed! Serve hot with a side of steamed rice for a perfect meal.
