Flourless Pumpkin Bread: A Soft and Sweet Treat for Babies!
Enjoy a wonderfully soft and sweet pumpkin bread made without any flour, making it a healthy and easily digestible snack perfect for babies, toddlers, children, and adults alike. It’s packed with natural sweetness and nutrients, ensuring a delightful treat for the whole family.
Main Ingredients- 1 mini pumpkin (approx. 123g)
- 1 soju cup of milk (approx. 50ml)
- 1 egg
- 1 slice of cheese (baby cheese can be used)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
For this recipe, we’ll use one whole mini pumpkin. If you’re preparing this for a baby, using baby cheese will ensure an even safer and milder flavor profile.
Step 2
Wash the mini pumpkin thoroughly, then place it in the microwave and cook for 5 minutes. This ensures the pumpkin is cooked through and tender. To check for doneness, poke it with a fork or try to split it in half. It should be easy to cut or pierce. If it’s still firm, microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes until tender.

Carefully cut the cooked pumpkin in half and scoop out the seeds and stringy insides with a spoon.

Now, trim away the tough skin from the pumpkin halves. We will only be using the soft, cooked flesh for the bread.

While the pumpkin flesh is still warm, add the slice of cheese. Use a fork or a masher to mash the pumpkin and cheese together. The warmth of the pumpkin will help the cheese melt naturally, creating a smooth mixture.
Step 6
To the mashed pumpkin and cheese mixture, add 1 soju cup (about 50ml) of milk and stir well until everything is combined. This step helps achieve the right batter consistency.

Once the pumpkin and milk mixture has cooled down slightly, crack in the egg and whisk everything together until it forms a smooth, uniform batter.

Pour the batter into a steamer basket or a microwave-safe dish. Steam for about 3-4 minutes, or microwave for approximately 3 minutes and 30 seconds until the bread is cooked through. (Note: Microwaving for 3 minutes and 30 seconds worked perfectly in our test.)

And there you have it – delicious, soft mini pumpkin bread, naturally sweetened by the pumpkin itself, and completely flourless! It’s the perfect healthy snack.
