This is a delicious smoked chicken breast sandwich that disappears as soon as it’s made! It’s perfect as a quick breakfast replacement or as a delightful picnic lunch. It’s one of my surprise snack gift menus that I make generously once a month for my husband’s office colleagues. The rich smoky flavor of the chicken, combined with fresh vegetables and tangy pickles, is simply irresistible!

Main Ingredients
  • 4 slices smoked chicken breast
  • 6 slices bread
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 slices processed cheese
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 12 pieces dill pickles
  • 4-5 leaves lettuce

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

[Ingredient Preparation] 1. Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly and pat them completely dry. Excess water can make the sandwich soggy. 2. Remove the stem from the tomatoes and slice them into thick rounds, suitable for sandwiches. 3. Scrub the cucumber well with coarse salt, then peel and slice it thinly. These slices will add a refreshing crunch. 4. Drain the dill pickles slightly to enhance their sweet and sour flavor.

Step 2

Prepare the smoked chicken breast. Slice each piece in half lengthwise to create 8 thinner slices, making it easier to layer in the sandwich. (If you prefer a thicker filling, you can use the slices as they are.)

Step 3

Toast the bread slices until golden brown and crisp using a toaster or a pan. While the bread is toasting, mix 1 tablespoon of mustard sauce with 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise in a small bowl to create a smooth and flavorful sauce. Generously spread this sauce on the inside of each toasted bread slice.

Now, let’s assemble the sandwich! On one slice of sauced bread, layer a generous amount of prepared lettuce. Follow with the sliced smoked chicken breast, then the thinly sliced dill pickles, and finally, the tomato slices. Place another slice of bread, spread with sauce, on top. Add more lettuce, the processed cheese slices, the remaining smoked chicken breast, and cap it off with the final slice of bread, also spread with sauce. Your delicious smoked chicken breast sandwich is now ready to enjoy!
