  • 1 pack Smoked Duck (approx. 300g)
  • 1/2 bunch Fresh Chives (approx. 100g)
  • 1 medium Onion

Sweet and Sour Dressing

  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • A drizzle of Sesame Oil

Cooking Instructions

First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Wash the chives thoroughly and cut them into approximately 5cm lengths for easy eating. Peel the onion and slice it thinly into strips.

In a large bowl, combine the prepared chives and sliced onion. Add 2 Tbsp of gochugaru, 1 Tbsp of minced garlic, and a small drizzle of sesame oil for fragrance. Gently toss these ingredients together just to lightly coat them before adding the main dressing. This initial toss helps to season the vegetables subtly.

Now, let’s make the delicious soy sauce dressing. In a small bowl, combine 3 Tbsp of soy sauce, 3 Tbsp of sugar, and 3 Tbsp of vinegar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved to create a perfectly balanced sauce.

We’ll cook the smoked duck in a pan until it’s nicely browned. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the smoked duck. Cook until golden brown. Since smoked duck releases a lot of oil, place the cooked duck on paper towels for a moment to drain off excess fat. This step is crucial for a less greasy and more enjoyable dish. Arrange the drained smoked duck attractively on a serving plate.
