Main Ingredients- Smoked duck 200g
- Cabbage 300g
- Bell pepper 70g (using various colors will make it more visually appealing)
Seasoning & Others- Oyster sauce 1 Tbsp
- Minced garlic 1 Tbsp
- Chopped green onion 1 Tbsp (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds 1 Tbsp (for garnish)
- Black pepper, a pinch

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the cabbage. Slice it into pieces about 2cm wide and 5cm long for easy eating. Rinse the sliced cabbage thoroughly in cold water about three times. (Tip: While some used to rinse cabbage in vinegar water, it’s believed that vinegar can diminish its nutrients, so a simple rinse in plain water is recommended.) Drain the cabbage well in a colander.
Step 2
Slice the bell pepper into approximately 1cm thick pieces. Using peppers of different colors will enhance the dish’s visual appeal.
Step 3
You can use any part of the smoked duck you prefer, such as the thigh or breast meat. I’ve used thigh meat for its tenderness.
Step 4
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the smoked duck. Stir-fry for about 1 minute. This will render out a good amount of delicious duck fat. This fat is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and beneficial for health, so we’ll use it for cooking. Set the cooked duck aside momentarily.
Step 5
Place the removed smoked duck on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. This step helps prevent the dish from being overly greasy.
Step 6
Using the rendered duck fat left in the pan, maintain medium heat. Add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant, releasing its aromatic flavor.
Step 7
Now, add the drained cabbage to the pan and stir-fry until it slightly wilts, about 1 minute. Then, add 1 Tbsp of oyster sauce and quickly mix everything together to ensure the sauce evenly coats the ingredients.
Step 8
Add the sliced bell peppers and stir-fry for just 20 seconds more to maintain their vibrant color and crisp texture. It’s important to keep the bell peppers slightly crunchy.
Step 9
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of black pepper to enhance the overall flavor profile.
Step 10
Gently toss all the ingredients together, then turn off the heat immediately. Your delicious cabbage stir-fry is ready!

Arrange the finished cabbage stir-fry attractively on a plate. Place the prepared smoked duck in the center, and garnish generously with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
