I made this because I was hungry, and it’s surprisingly good! A quick and satisfying meal perfect for when hunger strikes.
Main Ingredients
- 9 wiener sausages
- 1 bowl of rice (approx. 200g), warm
- 1 fresh egg
- A little tomato ketchup
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a clean bowl, crack 1 fresh egg. Whisk it thoroughly with a fork or chopsticks until the yolk and white are well combined. Beating until the chalazae (the white stringy bits) are broken will result in a smoother texture.
Step 2
Place the bowl with the whisked egg into the microwave and cook on High power for 1 minute. The egg will cook into a soft scramble or a steamed egg-like consistency. Microwave times can vary, so check the egg’s doneness after 1 minute and add an additional 10-20 seconds if needed until cooked through.
Step 3
Now, prepare a nice bowl for serving. Place 1 bowl of warm rice at the bottom of the serving bowl. Ensuring the rice is warm will help it meld well with the other ingredients.
Step 4
Carefully place the soft, microwaved egg on top of the rice. Next, arrange the 9 plump wiener sausages over the rice and egg. You can slice them or place them whole. For an extra layer of flavor, you can lightly pan-fry the sausages before adding them.
