  • Pork Chunks (store-bought)
  • 1/2 stalk Green Onion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare our star ingredient: the pork chunks, which we’ve conveniently purchased from the supermarket. Trim the base of the enoki mushroom and separate the strands. Finely chop the green onion.

Step 2

Heat a pan over medium heat and add the pork chunks. As the pork begins to brown on the outside, add the minced garlic and chopped green onion. Stir-fry them together to release their fragrance. It’s a good tip to add the vegetables after the pork has started to cook to manage the moisture released from the ingredients.

Step 3

Once the pork and aromatics are fragrant, add the prepared enoki mushrooms and stir-fry until they soften, which should only take a minute or two. Finally, pour in 2-3 tablespoons of udon sauce to season the dish. Stir everything quickly to ensure the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly. If you don’t have udon sauce, a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and mirin can create a similar flavor profile. Once everything is well combined and deliciously coated, your simple stir-fried pork chunks are ready! Serve hot with rice for a truly satisfying meal.
