Have a lot of side dishes but the rice is a few days old, and it feels a bit plain to eat as is… Since I don’t eat much rice, it seems like whenever I cook it, it just keeps piling up. So, I decided to use the leftover rice and stir-fry it with soy sauce, butter, and stir-fry vegetables to make Soy Sauce Butter Fried Rice. Soy sauce and butter truly have a perfect flavor combination. Even without making fried rice, just mixing hot, freshly cooked rice with a fried egg, butter, and soy sauce is delicious enough. Since I had old rice, I decided to stir-fry it. Try eating leftover rice this way. ^^
Ingredients- Stir-fry vegetable mix 150g
- Rice 2.5 bowls
- Butter 3 Tbsp
- Soy sauce 3 Tbsp
- Black pepper 1 tsp
- Sesame seeds 1 tsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, after thawing the stir-fry vegetables, add butter and stir-fry them.
Step 2
While stir-frying, add the rice and cook together. Gently press with a wooden spatula while stir-frying to separate the rice grains, ensuring they don’t clump. This allows each grain of rice to be coated with butter. This step is crucial for achieving a fluffy texture.
Step 3
Add a little black pepper.
Step 4
Season solely with soy sauce. I used regular soy sauce (yangjo ganjang). Soy sauce and butter are a truly fantastic combination.
Step 5
The stir-fried rice, rich with butter and soy sauce aroma, is now complete. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. You could also add a fried egg on top for an extra delicious touch. ^^
