Main Ingredients- 1 packet of curry powder mix
- 1 medium potato
- 1/2 onion
- A small amount of carrot
- 15 boiled quail eggs
- 700ml water
Flavor Enhancers- 1/2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 Tbsp butter
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your vegetables for the curry. Peel the potato and carrot, then dice them into approximately 1 to 1.5 cm cubes. Chop the onion into similar-sized pieces. Uniformly sized vegetables will ensure they cook evenly. Aim for bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
Place the diced vegetables into a pot. Add half a tablespoon of butter to enhance the flavor and sauté the vegetables. Cooking them in butter will coat the vegetables, deepening the curry’s taste and adding a lovely richness. Sauté over medium-low heat until the vegetables just begin to soften and look slightly translucent.
Step 3
Once the vegetables are lightly sautéed, pour in 700ml of water. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat. Covering the pot while it boils can help the vegetables cook faster.
Step 4
When the water boils, reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the entire packet of curry powder mix. It’s crucial to stir thoroughly to prevent lumps and ensure the curry dissolves smoothly. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the curry from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Step 5
As the curry begins to thicken, gently add the 15 pre-boiled quail eggs. Stir carefully to avoid breaking the eggs, ensuring they are well coated with the curry sauce. Once everything is well combined and has reached a thick, stew-like consistency, your delicious quail egg curry rice bowl is ready! Serve generously over warm rice and enjoy.
