Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your soft morning buns. You can use round morning buns or dinner rolls – any type of soft, round bread works well.

Step 2
Finely mince the Spam. You can substitute with ham or bacon, or any other ingredient you have on hand, adjusting the quantity to your preference.

Step 3
Using a knife, carefully make a shallow cross-shaped cut on the top of each morning bun. Be gentle to avoid crumbling the bread.

Step 4
Gently scoop out the inside of the bun using your fingers, starting from the cut. Create enough space to fit a whole egg without tearing the bread or making a hole through the bottom.

Step 5
Squeeze a little mayonnaise into the hollowed-out morning bun. This adds a creamy texture and a savory flavor.

Step 6
Using a small spoon or knife, gently spread the mayonnaise along the inner walls of the bun. This helps to secure the egg.

Step 7
Now, carefully crack an egg into each morning bun. Try not to let the egg overflow the sides of the bun.

Step 8
The egg yolk might burst when heated, so gently poke it with a fork to break it slightly. This helps the egg cook more evenly and become creamier throughout the bread.

Step 9
Sprinkle a little salt over the egg for seasoning. Then, add about 1 teaspoon of the minced Spam on top, and finish with a sprinkle of dried parsley for a nice aroma and appearance.

Step 10
Preheat your air fryer to 160°C (320°F). Arrange the prepared morning egg buns inside and bake for 15 minutes. If you prefer a runny yolk, 15 minutes is perfect. For a fully cooked, firm yolk, bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 11
Your delicious morning egg bread is ready!

Step 12
Out of the 6 morning buns, 4 were cooked in the air fryer and 2 in the microwave. For the microwave method, heat for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Step 13
Here are the morning egg buns after being microwaved for 1 minute and 30 seconds!

Step 14
The microwave version has a chewy texture, while the air fryer version is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Both have their own charm, so choose your favorite! I personally recommend the air fryer method.

Step 15
Finally, we’ll transform the leftover scooped-out morning bun crumbs into another tasty egg bread treat.

Step 16
Place the morning bun crumbs in a bowl. Add 3 eggs, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, minced Spam, and a pinch of salt.

Step 17
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with a spoon until well combined.

Step 18
Prepare a small microwave-safe dish and lightly grease the inside with cooking oil. This prevents the bread mixture from sticking.

Step 19
Pour the mixed egg batter into the dish. Sprinkle a little more parsley flakes on top for extra flavor and visual appeal.

Step 20
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and microwave for 2 minutes.

Step 21
Your leftover crumb egg bread is now easily made using the microwave!

Step 22
Once slightly cooled, transfer to a plate and cut into bite-sized pieces. This makes a delightful snack, making good use of all your ingredients!
