Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 can (approx. 200g) Spam or similar luncheon meat
  • Ketchup, to taste (about 3-4 Tbsp)
  • 1-2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 serving (approx. 200g) cooked rice, warm

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Slice the Spam into approximately 1cm thick pieces and fry until golden brown and slightly crispy. Fry the eggs to your preference, whether sunny-side up (runny yolk) or over-hard. Aim to keep the yolk intact for a visually appealing presentation.

Step 2

Place one serving of warm cooked rice into a serving bowl. Arrange the pan-fried Spam and the prepared egg on top of the rice. You can layer the Spam first, then the egg, or place them side-by-side for a balanced look.

Step 3

Finally, generously drizzle about 3-4 tablespoons of ketchup over the bowl. You can create a circular pattern, a zig-zag, or any design you like. For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a touch of Sriracha or mayonnaise. Mix everything together with the warm rice and enjoy your delicious meal!
