On a lazy, snowy day when you don’t feel like cooking, here’s a quick and easy ‘Cup Rice Bowl’ recipe perfect for a single serving. Main Ingredients- 1 instant rice bowl
- 1 sausage
- A little finely chopped onion (optional)
Sauce and Seasoning- 4 tsp store-bought tomato spaghetti sauce
- 4 tsp store-bought tomato spaghetti sauce
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the recipe beforehand: an instant rice bowl, a sausage, an egg, and store-bought tomato spaghetti sauce. If you have an onion, finely chop about 1/5 of it and set it aside.

Place the instant rice bowl in the microwave and heat for about 1 minute. Warm rice forms the base of your cup rice bowl.

Slice the sausage diagonally into bite-sized pieces. If sliced too thickly, they may take longer to cook.

Lightly pan-fry the sliced sausage for enhanced flavor. If there’s excess oil, gently blot it with a paper towel.

Now it’s time to assemble the cup rice bowl. In a large mug or microwave-safe bowl, spread about two spoonfuls of the warm rice.

On top of the rice, add about two spoonfuls of the store-bought tomato spaghetti sauce. You can adjust the amount of sauce to your preference.

Layer the lightly fried sausage on top, followed by the chopped onion (you can skip the onion if you’re in a hurry in the morning or if you don’t prefer its texture).
