Healthy and Tasty Tofu Salad Recipe for Weight Management
After getting married, I let my guard down and gained about 1-2kg! I need to get back to my pre-marriage weight, so it’s time to start dieting again. (I really hope I can fit into my summer clothes from last year!) To start adjusting my evening meals, I decided to make this delicious tofu salad, a perfect diet food. It’s packed with vegetables and protein, keeping you full and healthy!
Main Ingredients- 1 block of firm tofu (firm or pan-frying tofu recommended)
- A generous handful of mixed salad greens (lettuce, romaine, baby greens, etc.)
- Your favorite dressing or sauce
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the tofu. Thoroughly pat the tofu dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is key to achieving a crispy and delicious texture when pan-fried. Then, cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5-2cm thick, into neat squares or triangles.
Step 2
Lightly coat a frying pan with oil and heat over medium heat. Place the cut tofu in the pan and cook until golden brown and slightly crispy on both sides. Aim for a texture that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Be mindful of the heat to prevent burning the tofu.
Step 3
Arrange the washed salad greens attractively in a salad bowl. Gently place the warm, golden-brown tofu you just pan-fried on top of the fresh greens.
Step 4
Finally, drizzle your favorite dressing or sauce evenly over the salad. Your delicious tofu salad is ready! A tangy balsamic dressing or a savory sesame dressing both pair wonderfully with this dish.
