Tired of just reheating frozen chicken breast? Try this easy and delicious chicken breast fried rice recipe! Feel free to add leftover vegetables from your fridge to make it even more flavorful.
Main Ingredients- 1 pack frozen chicken breast (approx. 100g)
- 1 bowl of warm cooked rice
- 1/6 zucchini
- 1/4 onion
- 1/4 carrot
- A little bit of king oyster mushroom
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables that will add texture to your fried rice. Finely dice the zucchini, king oyster mushroom, onion, and carrot. If you have any leftover vegetables in your fridge (like bell peppers, broccoli, etc.), chop them up and add them for an even more nutritious fried rice.
Step 2
It’s best to slightly thaw frozen chicken breast before cooking. You can microwave it for about 1 minute (at 1000W) or rinse it under running water to thaw it quickly. Once thawed, cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
Step 3
Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a pan. Add all the prepared vegetables (zucchini, onion, carrot, king oyster mushroom) and stir-fry until the vegetables soften slightly and the carrots look translucent. Cook over medium heat.

Once the vegetables are somewhat cooked, add the prepared chicken breast and stir-fry together. Since most frozen chicken breast is pre-cooked, just stir-fry until the surface is lightly browned and it’s fully heated through.

Now, add the warm cooked rice and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce to the stir-fried vegetables and chicken. At this point, reduce the heat to the lowest setting. High heat can often cause the rice or ingredients to burn, so be careful.
Step 6
Stir-fry everything evenly, ensuring the rice and oyster sauce are well combined with the other ingredients. Finally, taste and season. If it’s seasoned to your liking, sprinkle a pinch of pepper to finish. If it needs more flavor, add a tiny bit of salt to adjust the taste to your preference.
