Super Simple Steamed Egg with Milk and Eggs~ Tender and Delicious!
This is a super simple steamed egg made with eggs and milk. The ingredients and process are both simple and quick to make, making it perfect for a breakfast menu~
Steamed Egg Ingredients- 3 large eggs
- 50ml milk
- 2 pinches of salt (or to taste)
- A little sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, crack 3 eggs into a clean bowl. Whisk them gently until the yolks and whites are just combined. Don’t over-whisk.
Step 2
Add 50ml of milk and 2 pinches of salt to the beaten eggs. Stir gently to combine, being careful not to create too much foam. Adjust the salt to your preference.
Step 3
Pour the egg mixture into a pot or earthenware pot. Initially, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a spatula to prevent sticking to the bottom. You’ll start to see the mixture thickening and forming soft curds.
Step 4
Once the egg mixture begins to form soft, fluffy clumps, reduce the heat to low. Cooking on low heat is key to achieving a tender texture without burning.
Step 5
Cover the pot with a domed lid (or plastic wrap) to trap steam. Let it cook for about 2 more minutes, allowing the steamed egg to puff up nicely.
Step 6
Carefully lift the lid to release the steam. Drizzle a little sesame oil over the warm, fluffy steamed egg to finish. It’s best enjoyed immediately.
