Salad Ingredients

  • 1 block (360g) Silken Tofu
  • 1 package (70g) Sprout Vegetables
  • 1/6 Onion

Oriental Dressing

  • 1.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1.5 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 2/3 Tbsp Crushed Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the dressing ingredients and chop the vegetables. Peel the onion and slice it into very thin shreds. Mince one clove of garlic finely. Having these prepped beforehand will make the cooking process much smoother.

Step 1

Step 2

Now, we’ll make the sprouts and sliced onion extra crisp. Place the prepared sprout vegetables and sliced onion in cold water, or even ice water, for about 5 minutes. This step revitalizes the vegetables, significantly enhancing their crunchy texture.

Step 2

Step 3

After taking the vegetables out of the water, it’s crucial to drain them thoroughly. Spread a layer of paper towels on a flat surface, place the vegetables and onion on top, and gently press down with your hands to remove excess moisture. Ensuring the vegetables are well-drained prevents the salad from becoming watery and allows the dressing to adhere beautifully.

Step 3

Step 4

Almost there! Cut the silken tofu into bite-sized pieces and arrange it in a serving bowl. Artfully place the drained sprouts and onion on top. Finally, drizzle the delicious oriental dressing you prepared earlier evenly over the salad. Your nutritious and flavorful silken tofu and sprout salad is now complete! Enjoy your delicious meal.
