Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gently rinse the 1 pack of sea purslane. Blanch it in boiling water for just about 20 seconds. Be careful not to overcook, as this will affect its crisp texture. It only needs a very quick dip!
Step 2
After blanching, immediately rinse the sea purslane under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool it down. Then, firmly squeeze out as much water as possible using your hands. This step is crucial for the dressing to adhere well. Once drained, cut the sea purslane into bite-sized pieces, about 3-4 cm long. Now, let’s make the seasoning sauce: In a bowl, combine 0.5 Tbsp soy sauce for soup, 0.5 Tbsp fish sauce, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp minced green onion, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, and a pinch of sesame seeds. Mix everything together well.
Step 3
Add the cut sea purslane to the prepared seasoning sauce. Gently toss and mix everything together with your hands, being careful not to mash the delicate greens. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed. Once mixed, it’s ready to serve! This crisp and aromatic seasoned sea purslane makes a wonderful side dish or a delightful spring treat.
