Scallion Pancake Ingredients
  • Scallions or green onions (about the size of a 100-won coin)
  • Assorted seafood (1/2 pack)
  • Cheongyang chili pepper (1)
  • Egg (1)
  • Pancake mix (200ml)
  • Water (160ml)
  • Cooking oil (as needed)
  • Salt (pinch)
  • Pepper (a pinch)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

1. Prepare your ingredients. Cut the scallions or green onions to fit your frying pan. Thinly slice the Cheongyang chili pepper to avoid overwhelming spiciness. If using frozen assorted seafood, rinse it under cold running water and drain well.

2. Make the batter. In a bowl, combine the pancake mix and water. Whisk until smooth. The batter should be slightly thin, flowing gently when poured from a ladle. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

3. Cook the pancake. Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Arrange the prepared scallions in the pan. Scatter the assorted seafood evenly over the scallions.
