Main Ingredients

  • 1 can Tuna (drained)
  • 2 Cheongyang peppers (finely minced)
  • 1/3 Carrot (finely minced)
  • 1/2 Onion (finely minced)
  • 1/2 cup Pancake mix (buchim garu)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 handful Green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tsp Minced garlic

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Hello! Today, we’re going to make delicious and savory tuna patties. These are great as a snack for kids, or even as an appetizer or late-night meal for adults.

Step 1

Step 2

First, drain the oil thoroughly from the canned tuna. If there’s too much oil, the patties can turn out greasy. Next, finely mince the vegetables: the Cheongyang peppers, carrot, and onion. Finely minced vegetables ensure the patties are well-combined and tender when cooked.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, in a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, minced Cheongyang peppers, carrot, and onion. Add the pancake mix (1/2 cup), eggs (2), a pinch of salt, chopped green onions, and minced garlic (2 tsp). Mix everything thoroughly until a cohesive batter forms.

Step 3

Step 4

Shape the batter into small, flat patties. Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium-low heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook slowly until golden brown on one side. Flip them over and cook the other side until equally golden brown. Be mindful of the heat to prevent burning.

Step 4

Step 5

Voila! Your golden brown and delicious tuna patties are ready. The savory tuna combined with the sweetness of the vegetables makes them incredibly tasty. Enjoy these tuna pancakes while they’re warm, or even when they’ve cooled down!
