Savory Sweet Potato Pancakes
Easy and Delicious Sweet Potato Pancakes Recipe You Can Make at Home
These sweet potato pancakes look just like hash browns! I made these with just one sweet potato, and they yielded three delicious pieces. They were so tasty that I’m already planning to make them again. They’re a wonderful snack or light meal, perfect for satisfying your hunger.
Main Ingredients- 1 medium sweet potato
- 1 clove garlic (optional, for enhanced flavor)
- 1 cup water (approx. 200ml)
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour (approx. 40g)
- Cooking oil (for frying), sufficient amount
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the sweet potato thoroughly. If you prefer, you can peel the skin using a peeler. It’s fine to leave the skin on, but make sure it’s very clean.
Step 2
Cut the peeled sweet potato into manageable pieces. It’s best to cut them into smaller chunks so they blend easily. Place the cut sweet potato, 1 cup of water (approx. 200ml), and if you’d like to add more flavor, 1 minced clove of garlic into a blender. Blend until smooth. If the mixture seems too thick, add a little more water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
Step 3
To the blended sweet potato mixture, add about 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour (approx. 40g) and mix well until there are no lumps. If the batter is too watery, it will be difficult to cook, so adjust the amount of flour as needed. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Ladle the batter onto the hot pan to form pancakes of your desired size. Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Your delicious sweet potato pancakes are now ready!
