Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s gather the ingredients for our delicious stir-fried gochujang paste. We have gochujang, ground meat, and vegetables. I’ve prepared a generous amount of meat today.

Step 2

Prepare your vegetables. Finely dice the onion and thinly slice the green onion. Dicing the vegetables finely helps the seasoning penetrate better.

Step 3

Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and green onion and sauté until fragrant. Then, add the minced garlic and ground meat. Stir-fry until the meat is no longer pink. This step develops the sweetness of the vegetables and the savory flavor of the meat.

Step 4

Once the meat is fully cooked and the onions become translucent, add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce and 1.5 Tbsp of sugar. The soy sauce and sugar will enhance the flavor and balance the overall taste. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined.

Step 5

Now it’s time to add the gochujang to the delicious stir-fried meat and vegetables. Add the entire 100g of gochujang. It’s best to reduce the heat to low at this point.

Step 6

Stir-fry over low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the gochujang from burning. Stirring as if you’re mixing helps to mellow out any harshness in the gochujang and allows the flavors of the meat and vegetables to meld beautifully, creating a rich and smooth stir-fried paste. It’s ready when it looks glossy!

Step 7

Now, let’s make some bibimbap with this amazing stir-fried gochujang! Prepare the ingredients for your bibimbap. Warm rice and fresh vegetables are the staples.

Step 8

Rinse the bean sprouts and assorted greens thoroughly and drain them well. Excess water can make your bibimbap taste bland, so make sure to pat them dry.

Step 9

Fry an egg in a pan and set it aside. Place the warm rice in a bowl, top with the prepared bean sprouts and greens, and then add 1-2 tablespoons of the delicious stir-fried gochujang. Top with the fried egg for a bibimbap that is as beautiful as it is delicious! Finally, drizzle with 1 Tbsp of sesame oil to enhance the aroma and flavor. Enjoy your meal!
