Main Ingredients

  • 1 can of plain chicken breast (drained)
  • 5 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 3 Cheongyang peppers (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 stalk green onion (cut diagonally)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup (or rice syrup)
  • 1 Tbsp cooking wine (or mirin)

Cooking Instructions

First, prepare the vegetables for the dish. Finely chop the Cheongyang peppers to add a spicy kick, thinly slice the garlic to enhance the aroma, and slice the onion into thick strips.

Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the sliced garlic and gently stir-fry until it becomes golden brown and fragrant. This step is crucial for building a savory base.

Once the garlic aroma is released, add the sliced onion to the pan and stir-fry it with the garlic. Cook until the onion becomes translucent and releases its natural sweetness.
