Main Ingredients- Bibigo Beef Brisket and Whelk Doenjang 1/2 packet (approx. 100g)
- Pork belly 150g
- Napa cabbage 100g (approx. 1/4 head)
- Bok choy or Green onion (white part) 25g
- Cherry tomatoes 4 pcs
Additional Ingredients- White wine 3 Tbsp
- Roasted peanut powder 1 Tbsp
- Chopped chives 1 tsp
- White wine 3 Tbsp
- Roasted peanut powder 1 Tbsp
- Chopped chives 1 tsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your ingredients. Slice the pork belly into thin pieces, about 0.2cm thick. Cut the napa cabbage into pieces similar in size to the pork belly. Slice the green onion (or bok choy) lengthwise to match the pork belly’s length. Halve the cherry tomatoes lengthwise.
Step 2
Use a thick-bottomed pan. Arrange the pork belly and napa cabbage slices overlapping each other around the edge of the pan.
Step 3
Tuck the sliced green onions (or bok choy) in between the pork belly and cabbage. Place the halved cherry tomatoes in the center of the pan.
Step 4
Pour the 3 tablespoons of white wine into the center of the pan. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 13 minutes. This steaming process will infuse the ingredients with flavor.
Step 5
After 13 minutes, remove the lid. The ingredients should be tender and fragrant.
Step 6
Place half a packet of the Bibigo Beef Brisket and Whelk Doenjang in the center of the pan. Cover again and let it simmer for 2 more minutes to warm the doenjang through.
Step 7
Check that most of the wine has evaporated. Turn off the heat. Sprinkle the roasted peanut powder and chopped chives over the top. Your delicious Pork Belly and Napa Cabbage Steamed in Wine is ready!
Step 8
Serve immediately at the table and enjoy. It’s recommended to serve in individual bowls for a pleasant dining experience.
Step 9
[Serving Tip] The skins of the cherry tomatoes may naturally separate as they cook. It’s best to remove and discard the skins for a better texture.
Step 10
Assemble each bite by placing napa cabbage, pork belly, green onion, and tomato on your plate, then topping it generously with the Beef Brisket and Whelk Doenjang. Savor the rich and complex flavors.
