Beginner-Friendly Guide to Making Delicious Crab Stick Stir-Fry with Oyster Sauce
I’ve made another dish using crab sticks, and my father said it was a great accompaniment to his beer! It’s a simple yet satisfying side dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Enjoy this delightful recipe!
Main Ingredients- 3 sticks imitation crab meat
- 1 onion
- 1/2 zucchini
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ingredients. Cut the imitation crab sticks into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5 cm wide. Slice the onion thickly and cut the zucchini into half-moon shapes or strips. Cutting the vegetables not too thinly will help maintain a good texture when stir-fried.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Add the onion and zucchini first, as they take a little longer to cook. Stir-fry them until they begin to turn slightly translucent and tender.
Step 3
Once the vegetables are somewhat cooked, pour 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce along the edge of the pan. This allows the soy sauce to caramelize slightly, enhancing the flavor. Continue stir-frying until the onions become slightly translucent and soft.
Step 4
When the onions have reached your desired tenderness, add the prepared imitation crab sticks and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Stir everything together to ensure the crab sticks and vegetables are evenly coated and mixed. Be careful not to overcook the crab sticks, as they cook very quickly.
Step 5
Once the zucchini is fully cooked and all ingredients are well combined, turn off the heat. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper to your taste, give it a final quick stir, and your delicious imitation crab stick and oyster sauce stir-fry is ready to be served!
Step 6
For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some toasted sesame seeds on top to enhance both the appearance and flavor. This dish is best enjoyed while still warm.
