Main Ingredients- 2 leaves Cabbage
- 1 Onion
- 1 pack Silken Tofu
Black Sesame Seasoning- 5 Tbsp Black Sesame Powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Salt
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 5 Tbsp Black Sesame Powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Salt
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, peel and wash the onion thoroughly. Then, thinly slice it into julienne strips. Sliced onions will cook down nicely and absorb the flavors well.
Step 2
Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, wash it well, and then thinly julienne it to match the thickness of the onion. Even the firm core can be thinly sliced and stir-fried together.
Step 3
To add a rich, nutty flavor, grind 5 tablespoons of black sesame seeds into a fine powder using a blender or grinder. The deep aroma and taste of black sesame will enhance the depth of the dish.
Step 4
Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the julienned cabbage and onion and stir-fry them. Cook until the vegetables become translucent and slightly wilted, bringing out their natural sweetness.
Step 5
Once the cabbage and onion are tender, gently add the silken tofu, cut into bite-sized pieces. Stir carefully to combine, being mindful not to break the tofu, so it retains its soft texture.
Step 6
Now, add the 5 tablespoons of black sesame powder, 1/2 tablespoon of salt, and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar. Stir-fry everything together until well combined. For an extra layer of flavor, you can add minced garlic, chopped green onions, and thinly sliced red or chili peppers to your preference.
Step 7
Continue to stir-fry over medium-low heat until the sauce has slightly reduced and coats the ingredients beautifully, creating a glossy finish. The dish is ready when the black sesame sauce evenly coats the vegetables and tofu. Enjoy it while it’s warm.
