Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, to preserve the freshness and nutrients, wash all the vegetables thoroughly under running water. After patting them dry, cut the water dropwort and chives into pieces about 5-7 cm long, matching the width of your beef slices. For the king oyster mushrooms, trim off the base and separate them into edible strands.
Step 2
Gently press the thinly sliced beef with paper towels to remove any excess blood. This step helps to eliminate any gamey odor, ensuring a cleaner and more delicious flavor for your beef rolls.
Step 3
Now, let’s start assembling the beef rolls! Lay a slice of beef flat. Place a perilla leaf on top, followed by a generous amount of water dropwort, chives, king oyster mushrooms, and a few pieces of rice cake. Be careful not to overfill, as it might make rolling difficult. Roll the ingredients up tightly within the beef, similar to making a sushi roll.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Carefully place the rolled beef seam-side down in the hot pan. Cook until nicely browned on all sides, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. For extra flavor, you can add the bulgogi sauce and let it simmer, coating the rolls. Keep an eye on the heat to prevent burning.
Step 5
Voila! Your delicious beef rolls are ready to be enjoyed. Serving them warm allows you to savor the juicy tenderness. This dish is perfect for sharing with loved ones or simply treating yourself to a wonderful meal. Enjoy every bite! ♡♡
